Skåbu Fjellmaraton Ultra starts at Bygdin on Valdresflya, about 13 km from Beitostølen, and follows the Jotunheim Road past idyllic mountain farms along Vinstervatna. The race offers fantastic views of the peaks of Jotunheimen and beautiful mountains. From about 35 km, participants follow the marathon course all the way to the finish, with a tough ending up the notorious Kamfossbakken, which has an average incline of 10% over 3 km. This race takes place in the foothills of Jotunheimen and includes an incorporated uphill race.
